Jesus Christ Superstar Rocks The Philippines!

Our Executive Producer for UK and Group International Touring Lisa Fleming touched down in the Philippines with Head of Touring for Dewynters Michael Havard-Bilton to meet with GMG Production for the opening of rock musical royalty Jesus Christ Superstar.

The Olivier Award-winning production began its latest major international tour at The Theatre at Solaire in Manila where it runs through until 31 May, and where, more than five decades after its debut, it continues to captivate audiences with its electrifying fusion of rock music and theatrical storytelling.

The absolute powerhouse international company, including Luke Street, Joshua Bess, Javon King, Ethan Hardy Benson, Grant Hodges, Kodiak Thompson and Filipina actress and singer Gab Pangilinan as Mary Magdalene, plus the talented creative team ensured the production delivered heart, emotion and spectacle to an enthusiastic and packed audience.

Next stops on the tour include Taipei, Hong Kong and Singapore before the production rocks on to New Zealand in the autumn.
