About this role
The Arts Administration Apprentice will provide administrative support for the Crossroads Live North America team onsite in Rockville, MD. Working closely with Crossroads’ Humanity department, they will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Corporate Office and will have the chance to learn from and support all departments. The Intern will also have the opportunity to travel and work onsite with the Crossroads Live General and Production Management teams to support the successful launch of the 2025-2026 touring season.

Join Crossroads Live North America for a unique, four-month internship where you’ll rotate between departments including Marketing, Accounting, Booking, Production, and more gaining hands-on experience in the business of live theater. You’ll work closely with our Rockville Home Office team, supporting key projects while learning how a touring theater company operates behind the scenes.
What You’ll Do
Manage the Rockville Home Office:
Stocking, organizing, and maintaining a productive, well-functioning workspace while supporting the team with day-to-day needs.
Coordinate logistics for meetings (reserve conference rooms, arrange catering, manage equipment).
Manage incoming correspondence, including opening, sorting and distributing mail, packages and email.
Perform general administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, and data entry, while assisting with ad hoc projects as assigned.
Collaborate with Marketing to enhance social media presence and implement innovative engagement strategies.
Facilitate and troubleshoot technology needs for the Corporate Office, ensuring smooth operations and timely resolutions.
Plan and execute staff engagement initiatives that promote morale and build meaningful connections between employees and the Executive Team.
Provide administrative support to the Booking Department, including data entry, standardizing rental information across multiple shows, and assisting in route vetting—with the opportunity to observe booking meetings and gain industry insight.
Assist with onboarding of touring company members and maintain accurate, organized administrative files.
Support production and technical teams by serving as a PA/runner and/or as a juvenile performer wrangler, documenting processes via photos and video, troubleshooting administrative tech issues, and managing on-site needs (e.g., coffee service).
This role may require occasional travel and variable work hours off site.

Qualifications
Recent graduates and individuals transitioning careers are encouraged to apply. Please note that this is a contract position with an expected 8-hour workday.
Team Player and Self Starter, able to work with different types of personalities. • Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
Familiarity with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams) and Google Suite. • Self-motivated and detail-oriented problem solvers, who are interested in learning and working in multiple facets of touring commercial theater.
Ability to lift over 25lbs.
Valid Driver’s License is a plus.
A basic understanding of theatrical terms and directions is helpful.
Salary
A taxed stipend of $750/week

Housing is not provided when working out of the Corporate Office. Travel and Housing will be provided for any work conducted away from the Corporate Office/Warehouse.
